Adjusting and reforming the macrostructure of the postgraduate education are the utility preference to coordinate the relations between its size and quality. In the paper, we use “the study of the development and reformation of the macrostructure of the postgraduate education in China” as its theme and discuss the level structure, the disciplines structure, the form structure and the district structure of Chinese postgraduate education respectively.
The study is based on the elaboration of the standard of the rationalization of the level structure and makes a quantitative analysis about the current situation and problems of the level structure in China. Then we put forward a series of basic measures to optimize it, such as finding out the difference between the doctor'' degree and the master'' degree, keeping a rational proportion between them, dividing the work for different units of the postgraduate education, diversifying the styles of the postgraduate education and adjusting postgraduates'' educational levels from different disciplinary and majors.
With regard to the disciplines structures, we analyzes the mechanism and motive of its existence and transformation and dissects its develop condition and problems. based on the new situation which the disciplines structures of the postgraduate education is facing, The study puts forward many measures to adjust and reform the disciplines structures of the postgraduate education, for example, predicting the demand trend of the society for different talented persons, coordinating the proportion between different disciplinary, ensure the complementation of the disciplines structures in different levels, designing different educational courses for different majors.
As for the form structure, the study analyzes its formation and development in chinese and dissects the problems, such as lacking of characteristics and differences between different types of postgraduate education, the development of different types of postgraduate education is not coordinate, and so on. Besides, we also puts forward some plans to solve them.
